Some Clinical Histories

Aramis

foto de aramis DISLOCATION IN CANINE:

11/03/2016 Aramis, 20 month old male bulldog came with traumatic medial patellar dislocation of the right knee. This breed is predisposed to dislocations of this joint because the trochlear groove is not very pronounced. Aramis underwent 2 surgeries on his right knee, he still does not support his weight on his leg and has lost muscle mass, with a marked curvature at the lumbar level to compensate for the lack of support. 1st surgery: The trochlear groove is deepened, material is implanted to fix the patella, so the joint loses mobility. 2nd surgery: Due to rupture of the implant, it is replaced.

11/03/2016 Treatment begins with both therapies, Acupressure and Aromatherapy.

17/03/2016 Begins to lean on his toes to walk.

24/03/2016 Uses his plantar pad support when walking.

31/04/2016 He stands on both legs, he began to recover the muscles of his right hind leg.

04/07/2016 Jumps on couches, chairs, beds, etc. Recover mobility, lose pain and enjoy jumping on soft surfaces like any other animals. Aramis played again, running, walking freely with virtually no restrictions, he uses both legs equally. Must continue the treatment as a preventive measure because his knee is fixed and it may develop osteoarthritis in the future. Thanks to his human family for the love and commitment they showed in Aramis's recovery and his joy expressed with so much jumping and playing.

Charlie

foto de charlie PNEUMONIA IN CANINE: Canine female, mixed breed of approx. 14 years old.

13/06/2016 She presented respiratory symptoms- Pneumonia, hemorrhagic diarrhoea, dry mucous membranes, abdominal pain and abdomen hard at palpation. Clinical history. Charlie was an abandoned dog. She underwent surgery, a nephrectomy, where a kidney had to be removed, due to the presence of Dioctophyma Renale (parasite), consequently she presents chronic renal failure. She has heart disease for which she is on medication, but she has a persistent cardiac cough. She was treated two months ago for acute pancreatitis, where acupressure was also performed and the evolution exceeded all expectations. Due to her history, it is not possible to give her the medication that is necessary, since she would not be able to metabolise it correctly and the picture would be even more complicated. Blood sample is taken 13-06-2016 Results: Uremia: 1.5 g/l Normal: 0.15-0.40 g/l Creatinine: 1.63 mg% Normal: 0.8-1.4 mg% Amylase: 1251 AU% Normal: 60-120 AU%

14/06/2016 Start treatments, Acupressure, DPPT and Aromatherapy.

15/06/2016 Charlie is still not very hungry, but she is no longer bleeding, although she continues to have episodes of diarrhoea.

17/06/2016 She has recovered her appetite, drinks water normally and her bowel movements are normal.

20/06/2016 Charlie will continue in preventive treatment. Today she is feeling very well, she has recovered her spirits, the cough has diminished remarkably and she enjoys each session relaxing and taking short naps during therapy. Thanks to her human family for giving her a home and the best care. Thanks to her trust placed in these complementary therapies so Charlie´s quality of life can improve.

Cibi

foto de cibi LAMINITIS IN EQUINES:

A mare that could be 17 years old or older. Left in abandonment. Lack of all basic care. She is rescued. She is in extreme pain and spends most of the day lying on her side on the ground. Veterinary diagnosis: Grade 3 chronic fossure, with distal phalanx rotation. This pathology, commonly called laminitis, is based on a multisystemic disorder that affects the digestive, cardiovascular, renal, endocrine, musculoskeletal and immune systems.

01/09/2016 Acupressure therapy starts, in the first instance an attempt is made to calm pain and inflammation, avoiding the use of corticosteroids if possible.

02/09/2016 Cibi has stood up without help and without pressure, but it is only because the pain has decreased a bit.

03/09/2016 Her temper changed, she is less aggressive, with a greater appetite.

05/09/2016 Work out begins so that all organs recover their normal functions as well and as quick as possible.

10/09/2016 Periodic ferrier visits to help in her standing position. Cibi can now support her own weight.

21/10/2016 Veterinary visit, Cibi is doing fantastic.

01/11/2016 Today Cibi was temporarily discharged from the vet (her laminitis is chronic), she continues to recover with Acupressure & Aromatherapy, and receives visits from ferrier periodically. Thanks to Cibi, for not giving up and finally leading to this recovery, and to her caretaker for giving me the opportunity to be part of this.

Coca

foto de coca ACUTE HEMORRHAGIC PANCREATITIS:

Coca: Mixed breed dog, approximately 12 years old. Symptoms: Abdominal pain, weakness and difficulty breathing, arrhythmia and pale mucous membranes. Analysis: Increased liver enzymes. Increased urea values, which translates into kidney malfunction. Anemia. Ultrasound: Hepatomegaly. Echogenic abdominal fat. Abdominal puncture confirms internal bleeding. Diagnosis: Acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis

19/04/2016 Start both therapies, Acupressure and Aromatherapy in conjunction with vet’s traetment.

21/04/2016 Less abdominal fluid is observed and diuretic medication intake is reduced by half, intravenous therapy fluid also stops.

05/05/2016 No fluids are observed in the abdomen with ultrasound, although his liver is still somewhat congested. Coca stills continues her preventive treatment due to age to help her to have a better quality of life and overcome possible pain and discomfort that may occur with age. "She is much more animated and even seems to have recovered years with her behavior." (Owner) Thank you Coca and thanks to the vets (her family) for her trust and help.

Matea

foto de matea BONE INFECTION IN HORSES:

17/09 after a prior consultation I went to meet Matea. She has a bone infection in her thoracic limb, where the compromised phalanx can be seen. At the moment already receiving the corresponding Veterinary treatment. First session: A lot of pain in the lower back, which is the product of the muscular compensation that she has to avoid pain.

21/09 Matea is more active, the claudication of her paw is already not noticeable, her inflammation has decreased.

28/09 Having completed the medication indicated by her veterinarian, she already appears much more flexible in her movements, her behavior is appropriate for her age, there are no muscular limitations due to pain .

05/10 New x-ray taken, where a 90% improvement in her bone lesion is seen. Therefore, she will continue with Acupressure for a few weeks, giving time to a favorable evolution without continuing with more medication.

12/10 Matea is feeling very well, runs and plays without problems. Thanks to the LIBRES PARA MONTAR Equine Therapy group of Unit No. 10 of the Prison Service for trusting Acuequepressure for the treatment of their horses.

Mitsuki

foto de mitsuki

A tricolour feline female of approximately 2 and a half years old with recurrent lameness with episodes of dragging on her left hind leg after having suffered a dog's attack a year and a half ago. I asked for Xray to be taken: Sclerosis of the lumbosacral spine with slight reduction of the intervertebral space. Pelvis without apparent osteoarticular alterations. Retention of abundant faecal material consolidated in the descending colon (constipation). Osteoarticular lesions in cats are more difficult for humans to observe since being a very flexible animal, their body will adjust easely. But when this type of injury affects the spine, the animal begins to cancel normal activities due to pain. A sign of this may be the constipation that is increasingly seen in the animal and also the lack of interest in climbing objects. Already in the first sessions the mood of the animal changed, it is more active, it climbs to places that it had not climbed before, no higher than 1 metre. Run, play with the other cat in the house. Faecal is without much difficulty, also making changes to her diet to help in the process. Thank you for the commitment and trust placed in therapy by Mitsuki human´s family.

Montaña

foto de montaña CANINE INFECTION:

06/06/2016 Montaña, a 5-6-year-old canine male, is feverish, with a lot of generalized pain, difficulty getting up, total loss of appetite for a prolonged period at the time of consultation. An abscess is observed, underlying edema. History of toxoplasmosis. Analysis result: Renal failure uremia: 2.01 g/l normal: 0.15-0.40 g/l Blood creatinine: 3.53 mg% Normal: 0.50-1.4 mg%

09/06/2016 Both Acupressure & Aromatherapy treatments begin, accompanied by the medication indicated by veterinary doctors.

10/06/2016 He shows interest in food, starting to eat food again.

11/06/2016 He is not in pain, his head has already been raised, his breathing is less agitated, he responds to all external physical stimulation.

13/06/2016 Montaña feels better, he eats and drinks correctly, he still has a little difficulty getting up due to his characteristics and size. It will work on that.

16/06/2016 He sits up noticeably better, remains seated without difficulty. A 2nd blood sample is taken for analysis

21/06/2016 Analysis results: Uremia 0.85g/l Normal: 0.15-0.40g/l Blood creatinine: 1.28mg% Normal: 0.80-1.4mg% Montaña no longer receives treatment and is in very good condition! Thanks to his caregivers, his human family and the veterinary doctors, all of them trusted in this complementary therapy and gave Montaña the opportunity to improve his quality of life and especially thanks to Montaña for letting me be part of this.

Pamela

foto de pamela

11/08/2016 Canine crossbreed shows up at the consultation that had probably been hit by a vehicle. She can't stand on her 4 legs. Her right hind leg does not respond to any stimulus. There is no anal reflex. She is referred to start immediately on both therapies.

14/08/2016 She recovers anal reflex, her right hind leg begins to have greater tone.

18/08/2016 Pamela still can't stand alone on her four legs but with some help she is getting there.

20/08/2016 She´s already accommodating her paw regularly when she gets up.

22/08/2016 She begins to support her weight on the tips of her fingers when walking.

26/08/2016 The progress on her leg is notorious. She already supports her weight on her leg almost correctly and can use it to walk.

02/09/2016 Pamela can stand up without problem, and starts to play.

09/09/2016 She already runs, jumps and plays! She still has some episodes of loss of balance, so she continues with her weekly treatment.

30/09/2016 The treatment will be continued periodically every 15 days as support until she recovers her full and normal activity, for which it won't be long. Thanks to her family, who have collaborated so much with her recovery, participating in each session. And thanks to Pamela for so much affection and so much joy at each visit.

Pichilo

foto de pichilo

03/10/2016 The vet told me about a hospitalized puppy, who had been hit by a truck, and as a result of this his spleen was destroyed, also with multiple traumatisms. A successful splenectomy (surgery to remove the spleen) was then performed. His abdomen has abundant edema, and Pichilo is very sore and has no appetite. hypothermic. He began the therapy with both techniques (Acupressure & Aromatherapy) where we tried to tone his liver and kidney in order to "clean" the edema. DPPT (digital pressure point technique) is performed to avoid possible neurological consequences of the crash, and to release the endorphins will cause the reduce of inflammation and pain so as not to require too much medication since Pichilo has sequelae of a distemper , which is aggravated under certain medication.

04/10/16 Pichilo responds well, he has started to eat food. With normal temperature.

05/10/2016 He relapses into a clinical picture of hypothermia and loss of appetite, Acupressure & Aromatherapy is performed twice a day along with readjustments in his treatment by his veterinarians.

07/10/2016 Pichilo is more awake again, with appetite, normal temperature, decreased fluid in the abdomen, and is able to sit up.

08/10/2016 Pays attention, responds to stimuli, and can get up on its own.

10/10/2016 Pichilo returns home! Abdominal fluid is still located that will purify and needs to regain strength, but nothing better than at home! Thanks to his family, the vet and his team! Thanks to Pichilo for guiding me as he did, without being able to say anything he´ve said everything...

Pompon

foto de pompon ARTHROSIS IN CANINES:

Pompon, neutered male of 8 years approx. He is very sore, constantly bites and licks his lumbo-sacral area and is unable to rest due to discomfort. He also has persistent constipation, so his diet includes bran. Veterinary Diagnosis: Lumbosacral spondyloarthrosis , with decreased intervertebral space in L7. Synthesising: The bone tips (parrot beaks) that are created cause friction in the surrounding soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, etc.), they can also irritate the nerves that leave the spinal cord between two vertebrae and all of this causes pain, hence the animal shows difficulties to move, moans, walk hunched over trying not to move the area. The muscles that surround the vertebral segment contract to try to immobilise it and that the friction that causes pain is as little as possible, so that the restriction in movement caused by the parrot beaks is added to the restriction in movement produced by the muscle contracture. We began with both therapies, Acupressure and Aromatherapy, during the course of the treatment we can observe improvements in their quality of life, such as: Pompon sleeps more than usual and looks less tired. He begins to jump on his human family's bed again. His bowel movements became more frequent He sleeps on his back all night. Doubles the number of daily bowel movements. He recovers movement, his muscles are more relaxed and although, depending on his activity, he may have better days, there are very few episodes where he behaves like sore. He will continue the treatment because it is not a disease that can be cured, but he will be able to have a healthier and more active life. _Not only did he get his rest, but he played again like he did when he was a puppy (owner). Thanks to his human family for accompanying his treatment and enjoying his recovery.

Sofia

foto de sofia CANINE ELBOW DISLOCATION:

10/06/2016 Female Dogo Argentino canine, which suffered an unknown shock and is very sore on the left side. Xray shows a dislocation of the left elbow, with a fracture of the fifth finger. Surgery is recommended as well as acupressure to relieve inflammation and pain prior surgery. Sofia begins with both therapies, Acupressure and Aromatherapy, she practically cannot stand on her paw, and she has a lot of pain in her spine due to the lack of the fourth support.

17/06/2016 Upon arrival, she already shows less pain, she regularly supports her paw and no longer arches her spine too much to avoid pain. Sofia prepares for her surgery very well.

22/06/2016 - surgery

11/07/2016 Sofía is recovering slowly but she is doing very well... treatment continues. The swelling has decreased significantly, she begins to use the support, she is significantly less sore.

22/07/2016 Sofia lives far away and it was difficult to continue treatment for much longer, but she recovered from her surgery, and she is doing very well. Thanks to Sofía, and thanks to her family for the trust placed in them, for the trips and for the support! And to Mary for participating in her sessions and posing for our album.

Yack

A special mention of two beings who marked my beginning here to work on what I studied, what I know how to do and what I love to do... I would like to thank the veterinarian Magali Rossa, who introduced me to Jack and with him opened the doors to her Veterinary Clinic Trocitos del Alma in Magdalena, Bs. As. Argentina. In her search to provide more to her patients, even when she gave her 100% for them, we came across each other... and she trusted me... Thanks to her, today many people can help their pets with one more tool... Some of the little animals that I treat today could not even resist some medication... and she entrusts them to me daily, just as I trust her and her diagnoses with each case that arises, and I am grateful for the moment... I am proud to work with them , because on the go we are a team now, where the only goal is to help each one of those moist eyes that when the door opens say everything even if nobody hears anything... And now thank Jack... Jack had to go, but like every angel, even before leaving, he helped someone find the way... that's when we met... Jack was a half-breed Argentine bulldog, 14 years old Approx. He was rescued from the street in terrible conditions, with a history of distemper and suffered a fall from a second floor as a result of his blindness, a sequel to distemper. When Magali told me about him, it could have been his last night... but we were all lucky to have him for almost two more weeks to learn even more... no one explains how he was still there... Arthritis. Generalised sharp pain. He practically couldn't stand up on his own, it was difficult for him to stay on his feet and he ended up falling into uncomfortable or painful positions. No appetite. With abdominal fluid. He was breathing hard and he even seemed to cry for a long time with a sharp but very soft sound when he saw his "human"... he seemed to tell her what was happening to him... 05/03/2016 After his first session, Jack sat up more easily, and regained his appetite while the fluid in the abdomen was eliminated without the need for diuretics. He takes a blood sample for complete analysis. 2 sessions passed and Jack was going to confront any other dog (as he used to do)... so he suffered a pretty hard beating, which again left him very weak... The analyses showed a very serious Leukemoid reaction...anaemia and renal failure among others... 22/03/2016 His family decided that they did not want to see him suffer (this illness could have made him suffer a lot)... And Jack fell asleep... without pain, and surrounded by love, having known the shelter of a home and the warmth of love ...but like each one of these 4 legged angels, he took with him a little piece of us and left us a little piece of himself... Thanks to his Human Family for trusting me, and for giving him so much love...
